Many teeth can be extracted with relative ease but there can be those that sit under the gum line- or are so heavily broken down and decayed that minor surgery may be required.
This can be done using local anaesthetic to numb your mouth whilst the procedure is carried out however your dentist shall explain the procedure to you and answer any questions you may have before any treatment is undertaken.
After the tooth has been taken out your dentist shall provide you with verbal and written instructions on how to keep the tooth socket clean and what you can do at home to prevent the tooth socket from becoming infected.
